Red Cabbage And Apple Salad Recipe
This is a colorful version of the old coleslaw - with the addition of the mustard it has a little tang too, and with it being warm it goes great with a pork roast

Ingredients
  • 1 qt shredded red cabbage
  • 1 cup apples, quartered & sliced thin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp mustard
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the cabbage and apple and stir until the butter coats the mixture and there are signs of softening, but the mixture is not really cooked.
  2. Add the vinegar, sugar, seasonings and mustard; simmer another 2 minutes the stir in the sour cream. Serve hot.

Looks really good....I was puzzled over your last ingredient until I figured out the pepper was supposed to be on the next line...duh! LOL!
