Ingredients
  • 1 Ground turkey
  • 1 packet french onion soup
  • 1 T. Chili powder
  • 2 t. Cumin
  • 1/2 t. Pepper (or Mrs. Dash)
  • 21 oz can Kidney beans, drained (can be doubled - I use a variety of different beans all at once, just for fun)
  • 6 oz. Tomato paste
  • 8 oz. Tomato sauce
  • Very finely chopped carrots, onions, celery, zucchini and green pepper, approx one plate full

Directions
  1. Brown meat in a large soup pot and add seasoning.
  2. Sprinkle the soup (dry mix) over the meat, stir to coat. Add 1 1/2 cups water, bring to a boil then turn down the heat a little.
  3. Microwave or steam vegetables until just softened a little.
  4. Add tomato sauce and paste to the meat and spices, mix well.
  5. Add beans and vegetables, simmer for a few minutes until the rest of the meal is ready for the table.
