Got this from a cookbook years ago...Don't remember which one though....A different twist on a chocolate dessert

Ingredients
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar, sifted
- 1 tbls. cocoa powder, unsweetened
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 2 tbls. min semisweet chocolate pieces
- 1 tsp. orange zest
- 3 large pears, (I've used Bartlett)
- 2 tbls. orange juice
- Slivered almonds to garnish
Directions
- Mix ricotta, sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla with hand mixer until all combined
- Stir in chocolate pieces and orange zest
- Set aside
- Peel pears, cut in half lengthwise, and core
- Turn pear over and cut a slice off so they can sit flat on dessert dish
- Brush pear with orange juice
- Spoon ricotta into pear where the core was.
- Sprinkle with almonds
