Chocolate Ricotta Filled Pears Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup ricotta cheese

1/3 cup powdered sugar, sifted

1 tbls. cocoa powder, unsweetened

1/4 tsp. vanilla

2 tbls. min semisweet chocolate pieces

1 tsp. orange zest

3 large pears, (I've used Bartlett)

2 tbls. orange juice

Slivered almonds to garnish

Directions

Mix ricotta, sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla with hand mixer until all combined

Stir in chocolate pieces and orange zest

Set aside

Peel pears, cut in half lengthwise, and core

Turn pear over and cut a slice off so they can sit flat on dessert dish

Brush pear with orange juice

Spoon ricotta into pear where the core was.

Sprinkle with almonds
