Ingredients

How to make it

  • Put the apples in the bottom of the cooking pan, pour the water over them. In a medium bowl, mix the dry ingredients well, then cut in the cashew butter until crumbly and well mixed. Spread over the apples. Bake at 350F for 35 mins. or until apples are soft, checking to make sure the topping is not browning too much. Serve with cream or milk, while still hot.

Ezekiel makes a whole line of cereals, breads, etc. that have no flour; they are made with ground sprouted whole grains. They are the only cereals I eat, and my favorite breads, other than homemade. This recipe is definitely a keeper. If you don't mind, I'll share it with my South Beach Diet list!

It's a sprouted whole grain cereal, made from Ezekiel bread. Sort of like grapenuts, but without the sugar and junk. :))

You can find it at health food stores or Whole Foods.
