Baked Spaghetti Recipe
Tried and true delight I picked up from a church friend several years ago. This is very easy to make, goes a long way and is very comforting

Ingredients
  • Baked Spaghetti
  • 1 cup chopped white onion
  • 1 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 28 ounce can tomatoes with liquid cut up
  • 4 ounce can mushroom stems and pieces drained
  • 2-1/4 ounce can sliced ripe olives drained
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 1 pound ground beef browned and drained
  • 12 ounces spaghetti cooked and drained
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup undiluted
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions
  1. In large skillet sauté onion and green pepper in butter until tender.
  2. Add tomatoes, mushrooms, olives, oregano and ground beef.
  3. Simmer uncovered, for 10 minutes.
  4. Place half of the spaghetti in a greased rectangular baking dish.
  5. Top with half of the vegetable mixture and sprinkle with 1 cup cheese then repeat layers.
  6. Mix soup and water until smooth and pour over casserole then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake uncovered at 350 for 35 minutes or until heated through.
