Beltane Marigold Custard

- 2 cups milk shopping list
- 1 cup unsprayed marigold petals shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 3 Tbsp salt shopping list
- 1-2 inch vanilla bean shopping list
- 3 egg yolks shopping list
- 1/8 tsp all spice shopping list
- 1/8 tsp nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 tsp rose water shopping list
- whipped cream shopping list
How to make it
- Using a clean mortar and pestle, pound the marigold petals
- mix salt, sugar, and spices together
- scald milk with the marigolds and the vanilla bean
- remove the vanilla bean and add egg yolks and cook on low heat
- When the mixture coats a spoon add the rose water and cool
- top with whipped cream and garnish with fresh marigold petals
