This dish makes a great appetizer as well as a main dish. Can be kept in a crock pot on low for several hours when entertaining.

Ingredients
  • 2 lb hamburger
  • 1 lb sausage
  • 2/3 c milk
  • 2 c quick oats
  • 1/2 t pepper
  • 2 t chili powder
  • 1/2 t garlic powder
  • 2 t salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 c chopped onion
  • 1 c ketchup
  • 1 1/2 c brown sugar
  • 1/2 t garlic powder
  • 1 c BBQ sauce
  • 1 t liquid smoke
  • 2 T chopped onion

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix together ingredients 1-10.
  3. Shape into 1" balls.
  4. Place in baking dish in single layer.
  5. Combine ingredients 11-16 and pour over meatballs.
  6. Bake for 1 hour.
  7. (Can then be placed in a crock pot on low if desired.)
