If you like gooey butter cake, you will love these cookies! They use a butter cake mix as the base and are easy and quick to put together.

Ingredients
  • 1 (8oz) package cream cheese
  • 1/2 C. butter, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 t. vanilla
  • 1 box butter recipe cake mix
  • powdered sugar

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cream together butter and cream cheese.
  3. Mix in egg and vanilla.
  4. Add cake mix and mix until well blended.
  5. Scoop dough with spoon and roll into 1 inch balls. If the dough is too sticky, place in refrigerator for a few minutes before continuing.
  6. Roll the balls of dough in powdered sugar and place them 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. (I use a silicone baking mat).
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the bottoms are lightly browned. Tops will be very slightly browned. Do not overbake!
  8. Enjoy!
