Ingredients
  • 1 lb. lean ground turkey
  • 3 garlic cloves chopped (or Trader Joe's frozen garlic cubes)
  • oilve oil
  • 1 onion chopped
  • some chili powder
  • some cinnamon
  • pinch cumin
  • 1 (10 oz.) can RO*TEL Mexican Lime and Cilantro tomatoes
  • water
  • salt & pepper
  • mini semisweet chocolate chips (yes, I said CHOCOLATE)
  • 1 box thin spaghetti
  • shredded cheese
  • beer

Directions
  1. Brown turkey in a bit of oil.
  2. Add chopped onion.
  3. Add garlic.
  4. Add some chili powder.
  5. Add some cinnamon.
  6. Add RO*TEL tomatoes and half a can of water (you don't wanna miss the good stuff).
  7. Bring to a boil.
  8. Turn down the heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes (go take a shower).
  9. Boil water for pasta.
  10. Cook pasta.
  11. Remove chili from heat .
  12. Add salt and pepper to taste
  13. Stir in about 1/4 cup chocolate chips.
  14. Divide the pasta and serve chili over pasta.
  15. Top with shredded cheese.
  16. Serve with beer.
  17. It's better left over, but there are rarely leftovers!

Honey, you made tasteless ground turkey tasty!! Love the combination of flavors.


I usually use whole wheat, thin spaghetti, and break it in half before cooking (this makes husbands VERY happy).


Gemma, this looks really good and flavorful! I too put chocolate in my chili, but haven't used turkey yet. This reminds me somewhat of cincinatti chili.
