From lechatnoir 16 years agoIngredients
- COWBOY cookies shopping list
- 2 extra large eggs (or egg substitute) shopping list
- 1 Cup sugar shopping list
- 1 Cup Packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1 Cup butter shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 Cups flour shopping list
- 2 Cups Regular oats (NOT Quick-cooking) shopping list
- 6 ounces chocolate chips (milk chocolate chips) shopping list
- 1 Cup Chopped walnuts (Optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Mix first 5 ingredients with electric mixer (medium speed) until fluffy. Add remaining dry ingredients in the order listed, stirring well with spatula.
- Dough should be very stiff, so add more Oats if necessary.
- Drop about 1/4 Cup of dough onto greased cookie sheet.
- Put only six or eight mounds of dough per sheet, staggering them about three inches apart.
- Cookies will spread as they bake. Bake in oven preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes, or until cookies are golden brown but still spongy when touched on top with fingertips. (It can take up to 20 minutes sometimes, but don’t over bake.)
- Let the cookies cool slightly before removing them from cookie sheet, then finish cooling on racks.
- Makes about 20 big cookies, each about 4-5 inches in diameter. Cookies can be made smaller, but remember to reduce baking time accordingly.
