Mini Pies

- 1 can Reduced Fat Flaky Grands biscuits shopping list
- 1 can pie fruit filling shopping list
- 3/4 cup flour (whole wheat would be good) shopping list
- 1/2 cup brown sugar shopping list
- About 2 tbsp butter ( I used Promise to avoid hydrogenated oils) shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Combine Flour and Brown Sugar in a large bowl.
- Slowly add butter, using a fork to break it up and mix it in. Add just enough butter to achieve a crumb-like consistency. Set this aside.
- Separate each biscuit into two halves putting each half in its own cup in a large muffin tin.
- Use your fingers to create a mini pie crust with each biscuit half.
- Fill each cup with about 1 & 1/2 tbsp of pie filling.
- Top each mini pie with the Flour/ Sugar/ Butter crumb topping.
- Bake for about 20 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan.
- It's best to use a pair of tongs to remove these from the pan, I had no problem with them sticking, as I use a non-stick pan, there was no need to butter the pan.
