How to make it

  • Mix first 4 ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Add pecans and cook to soft ball candy stage (238 degrees)
  • Remove from heat.
  • Beat until creamy
  • Drop by teaspoons on waxed paper

    Pralines are the simplest candies there is to make. Here in MS they charge an arm and leg for one box or even just one. True, they are sweet but ooooooh so good.

    the pecans should be chopped......I forgot to add that..... that way it is easier to beat..

    I've never made pralines before - isn't there difficulty trying to beat the mixture with the pecans in it?
