Taco Salad without the SHELL

- 1.5 lbs ground turkey (or which ever ground meat you wish to use, ostrich is good choice too) shopping list
- 1-15oz can of black beans (or pinto) shopping list
- 1-15oz can of kidney beans shopping list
- 1-15oz can of stewed tomatoes shopping list
- 1-pkg taco seasoning shopping list
- 1-C grated cheese (I use colby) shopping list
- Dressing: (ingredients) shopping list
- 1-15oz tub of sour cream shopping list
- 2-3 tblsp mayonnaise shopping list
- 2-3 tblsp taco sauce (we use la victoria brand) shopping list
- 2 tblsp taco seasoning shopping list
- Other stuff: shopping list
- 1-2 pkg of pre-bagged salad shopping list
- 1 bag of corn chips shopping list
- Pre-made salsa shopping list
How to make it
- Brown the ground turkey in a frying pan, add the taco seasoning (place 2 tblsp aside for dressing). Add kidney beans, black beans and stewed tomatoes, mix well and let simmer for 20 mins.
- Dressing:
- Mix together in a bowl the sour cream, mayonnaise, taco sauce and taco seasoning. set aside in the refridgerator covered.
- How to arrange on plate:
- Place some chips on plate, top with some salad, then spoon on the meat & beans mixture, place a dollop of dressing and top with cheese or just top with salso, your choice.
