Sausage Vegetable Soup

- 2 quarts water shopping list
- 1/2 pound kielbasa sliced shopping list
- 3/4 cup sliced carrots shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1 clove garlic finely chopped shopping list
- 2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon marjoram leaves shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme leaves shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper shopping list
- 1 bay leaf shopping list
- 1 pound fresh mushrooms rinsed and drained shopping list
- 3 cups thinly sliced cabbage shopping list
- 1 cup diced potato shopping list
How to make it
- In a large saucepan or Dutch oven combine water, sausage, carrots, onion, garlic, salt, marjoram, thyme, white pepper and bay leaf.
- Bring to boiling then reduce heat and simmer covered 30 minutes.
- Slice fresh mushrooms.
- Add to soup along with the cabbage and potato.
- Return to boiling then reduce heat and simmer covered until vegetables are tender about 30 minutes.
- Season to taste with additional salt and pepper if desired.
