Ingredients
  • Yams
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoon of salt per quart of water
  • 1/4 cup good raw country honey
  • 1 teaspoon Almond extract
  • 1 teaspoon Cherry extract
  • Butter

Directions
  1. Always boil Yams with the jackets on,by peeling them and then boiling them,ruins them entirely.
  2. Boil sweet potatoes with the jackets on for 20 minutes in the salt water.
  3. Remove them and place them in a 380 degree oven and bake until done about 40 minutes
  4. Remove from oven and remove the jackets or skins
  5. Spoon them up into bite size portions and put in a shallow vegetable dish. Avoid breaking up the flesh as much as possible
  6. Pour a generous amount of sauce over,dot with butter
  7. Sauce: Take 1/2 cup water and place in small sauce pan heat until warm.Add 1/4 cup honey to the water and stir until dissolved.Remove from heat.
  8. Add the almond extract and the cherry extract
