Ingredients
  • COLESLAW
  • 1 large cabbage
  • 1 med onion
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 ½ C. mayo
  • ¼ C. cider vinegar
  • ½ C. granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
  • salt to taste
  • CONEY ISLAND SAUCE
  • 1 (8-oz) can tomato sauce
  • ½ C. water
  • 1 T. Worchester sauce
  • 1 T. yellow mustard
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • ½ C. diced onion
  • 1 T. minced garlic
  • WRAP
  • Large flour tortilla’s
  • 1 C. cheddar cheese, grated
  • ½ C. onion

Directions
  1. COLESLAW
  2. Shred cabbage, onion and carrots fine.
  3. Mix next 5 ingredients together and add to grated veggies. Mix well. Refrigerate for 2 hours to meld flavors. Taste for salt and pepper before serving. Keeps 2 days in fridge.
  4. CONEY ISLAND SAUCE
  5. Combine tomato sauce, water, mustard, chili powder and salt in mixing bowl; set aside.
  6. In heavy skillet over med heat, brown ground beef, stirring often to break up any clumps. When just browned, drain grease. Add onion and garlic, and cook for a couple min. Stir in tomato sauce mixture; simmer for 30 min or until liquid is reduced Remove from heat and set aside.
  7. THE WRAP
  8. Put a good helping of slaw on tortilla, place meat sauce over slaw. Sprinkle with cheese and onions. Roll up and cut in half. Serve with root beer and chips.
