Okay, I have never tried frogs legs and I don't know if I ever will. A friend of mine gave me this recipe to submit and she says they're great. Ribbit, ribbit...

  • 2-1/2 pounds frog legs
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • a splash of good quality beer - your choice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper
  • 3/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. onion or garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • at least 2-1/2 cups of peanut or canola oil

Directions
  1. Wash and dry the frogs legs well.
  2. Mix egg, corn meal, salt, pepper, onion or garlic powder, paprika and cayenne pepper together to make a batter.
  3. Dip frogs legs into the batter and fry them in peanut oil in a deep saucepan or a heavy skillet for 20 - 25 minutes.
  4. Remember to turn them to allow even browning.
  5. Makes enough for 3 - 4 people as an appetizer.

You've never had frog legs?? You don't know what your'e missing-they are delicious.And Jett is right-they do taste like chicken...just richer in flavor.My mom used to make these when we were kids and I loved 'em.Thanks for sharing this awesome recipe!
