Rolled Meatloaf Italiano Recipe
This is a great way to make meatloaf more exciting!

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 lb.ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 C.cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 C.finely chopped onion
  • 2 (8oz) cans of seasoned tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp.salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon each:oregano and italian seasoning
  • 1/8 tsp.black pepper
  • 2 1/2 C.shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Combine ground beef,egg,crumbs,onion,1/3 C tomato sauce and spices.
  3. Mix well and shape into a flat rectangle,about 10" x 12" on wax paper.
  4. Sprinkle on 2 C.mozzarella cheese evenly over meat mixture.
  5. Roll up like a jelly roll,and pinch off the ends to seal.
  6. Bake in shallow baking dish for 1 hr.
  7. Drain excess fat and pour remaining sauce and cheese over top.
  8. Bake for additional 15 minutes.
