Hoot N Holler Whiskey Cake

- 1/2 cup butter-softened shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1 cup all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- 1/4 cup milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup molasses shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 cup bourbon whiskey-or to taste shopping list
- 3/4 pound raisins shopping list
- 2 cups chopped pecans shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees
- Grease two 9" x 5" loaf pans. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl,cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time,beating well after each addition.
- Sift together next four ingredients and add to creamed mixture,alternating with milk,beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
- Combine molasses and baking soda. Add to mixture.
- Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pans.
- Bake for 1 hour or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely.
- Note:
- Refrigerate for easier slicing.
