Saved this one for my husband Julie, he loves meat pies and I'm sure this will be a hit with him. A flavorful 5.

Beef in Indian food?

You can just call it the American version if you like. There are many Indian recipies which contain beef...look them up.

I will have to try this. I LOVE Indian samosas! I've only had potato and peas, not peas and ground beef.
Yes, I've had some delicious beef dishes at our favorite authentic Indian restaurant. It just depends on what area of India the recipes are from, as some areas don't eat beef, but some do!

I don't think my comment showed up, so I'm going to repost.
I made these tonight for dinner and DH walked in the door with a huge smile on his face when he saw them on the counter, piled high in their golden glory. He took one bite and told me that they taste like Mama's Sambusak (maybe what Palestinians call it). I made just a few adjustments according to what I had on hand. I got a huge bag of potatoes on sale, so I peeled 3 small ones and boiled them in salt water for 18 minutes, cubing them when they cooled down. I only had a little over 2T of curry powder and didn't have any cayenne, so I chopped up a packet of red pepper flakes from Pizza Hut until it was powdered. My Wonton wrapers were circular, not square and so easy to work with! I scored the edges with a fork on both sides. I had quite a bit of leftover filling (probably because of the additional potato) so I filled 15 small spring roll wrappers with the mixture and fried them up. They unravelled a bit while frying, so I would probably seal them with eggwhite instead of water. 5 star recipe, I will definitely make this again, though not for a while, as I have enough samosas to last quite a while. Shukria!
