Barbeque Short Ribs Recipe

Ingredients

3-4 lbs beef short ribs

1/4 cup dark brown sugar

1/2 cup cider vinegar

2 cups chicken stock

2 cups water

1/2 cup ketchup

3 tbsp tomato paste

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

1 tbsp dry English mustard

1 tbsp worcestershire sauce

1 tsp chili powder

1/2 tsp ground cayenne

Directions

Combine vinegar and sugar in a large saucepan and simmer until the mixture thickens to a syrupy consistency, 10-15 minutes

Add water , stock and seasonings.

Bring to a boil and add ribs, simmering for 20 minutes

Allow ribs to cool in a foil lined dish for 15 minutes

Wrap ribs in foil and refrigerate overnight

Simmer the remaining liquid in the saucepan and reduce until it becomes thick enough to coat the back of a spoon

Cool sauce and refrigerate

This will be the basting sauce for the ribs

The next day, grill ribs over medium hot coals,35-40 minutes turning once or twice

Baste with sauce every 10-15 minutes
