How to make it

  • Combine vinegar and sugar in a large saucepan and simmer until the mixture thickens to a syrupy consistency, 10-15 minutes
  • Add water , stock and seasonings.
  • Bring to a boil and add ribs, simmering for 20 minutes
  • Allow ribs to cool in a foil lined dish for 15 minutes
  • Wrap ribs in foil and refrigerate overnight
  • Simmer the remaining liquid in the saucepan and reduce until it becomes thick enough to coat the back of a spoon
  • Cool sauce and refrigerate
  • This will be the basting sauce for the ribs
  • The next day, grill ribs over medium hot coals,35-40 minutes turning once or twice
  • Baste with sauce every 10-15 minutes

    I guess thats what I do wrong,with my ribs.I don't pre-cook them before,no wonder we look like two dogs chewing on a bone. Thank-you very much.
