Barbeque Short Ribs

- 3-4 lbs beef short ribs shopping list
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar shopping list
- 2 cups chicken stock shopping list
- 2 cups water shopping list
- 1/2 cup ketchup shopping list
- 3 tbsp tomato paste shopping list
- 1 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes shopping list
- 1 tbsp dry English mustard shopping list
- 1 tbsp worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 tsp chili powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp ground cayenne shopping list
How to make it
- Combine vinegar and sugar in a large saucepan and simmer until the mixture thickens to a syrupy consistency, 10-15 minutes
- Add water , stock and seasonings.
- Bring to a boil and add ribs, simmering for 20 minutes
- Allow ribs to cool in a foil lined dish for 15 minutes
- Wrap ribs in foil and refrigerate overnight
- Simmer the remaining liquid in the saucepan and reduce until it becomes thick enough to coat the back of a spoon
- Cool sauce and refrigerate
- This will be the basting sauce for the ribs
- The next day, grill ribs over medium hot coals,35-40 minutes turning once or twice
- Baste with sauce every 10-15 minutes
