    /invites herself over to onegypsy's house for acorn squash - that sounds amazing! Going to see if the addition of sugar will tempt my rotten 4-year-old...brilliant subterfuge!

    this reminds me of the way we always do acorn squash. Split in half, seed, add a chunk of pure butter to the cavity, fill with maple syrup, bake til done and caramely. -soft sigh- Delish.

    I did -not- know that. ~laugh~ thanks for the fodder. I am going to make this btw...reminds me of my love of slow cooked squash with butter and cinnamon. Mmmmm...In the life of a single father with a demanding devil child..I have to sneak in healthy things to make that do not take time...this is brilliant. Thank you.
