How to make it

  • Combine all ingredients for the custard paste in a bowl. Mix well until no more lump.
  • Then cook over a very low fire. Stir constantly until the custard becomes thick.
  • Leave aside to cool thoroughly.
  • Combine all dough ingredients in a bowl. Knead until smooth.
  • Leave aside for 30 minutes.
  • Then make 10 small balls.
  • Flat one ball of dough with your palm.
  • Then put 1 tbsp of custard paste in the middle of the flatten ball.
  • Shape the ball into a slightly flatten ball. (Careful not to let the paste leaks out)
  • Repeat with the remaining dough.
  • Heat oil for deep-frying. Fry custard balls until golden brown say about 5 to 8 mins. Serve hot.
