Nacho Burger

- 2 medium tomatoes diced shopping list
- 1/2 cup red onion diced shopping list
- 2 teaspoons fresh jalapeno pepper chopped shopping list
- 2 teaspoons fresh cilantro minced fine shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 small avocados shopping list
- 2 tablespoons sour cream shopping list
- 1/4 cup tomato diced shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon jalapeno diced shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh cilantro chopped shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 3 ounces ground beef shopping list
- 1 teaspoon all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 16 ounce jar processed cheese shopping list
- 2 tablespoons milk shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika shopping list
- 2 pounds ground beef shopping list
- 4 large sesame seed buns shopping list
- 2 cups iceberg lettuce shredded shopping list
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise shopping list
- 1 green onion chopped shopping list
- 20 tortilla chips crumbled shopping list
- 3 fresh jalapenos sliced shopping list
How to make it
- Combine tomatoes, onion, jalapeno, cilantro and salt together in a small bowl and mix well.
- Cover bowl then chill in the refrigerator.
- In a small bowl mash up most of the avocado leaving several chunks that are not mashed.
- Add sour cream, tomato, jalapeno, cilantro, lemon juice and salt and mix well.
- Cover bowl and chill in the refrigerator.
- In yet another small bowl mix together ground beef, flour, salt, black pepper and chili powder.
- Use your hands to work dry ingredients into ground beef.
- Brown beef in a small skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Use a spoon or spatula to crumble the beef as it cooks then cook until brown and set aside.
- Melt cheese with 2 tablespoons milk over low heat then add chili powder, cumin and paprika.
- Heat while stirring often until cheese is smooth and creamy.
- Cover saucepan and remove from heat.
- Preheat a griddle or large frying pan over medium heat.
- Lightly butter the face of each bun and brown buns face down on the heat.
- Separate ground beef into four portions.
- Roll each portion of meat into a ball then pat down into a circular patty.
- Cook hamburger patties for 10 minutes per side until done.
- Lightly salt and pepper each burger patty.
- Build the burger open faced in the following order.
- On bottom bun lettuce, beef patty, queso, tortilla chips and green onion.
- On top bun mayonnaise, pico de gallo, guacamole and jalapeno slices.
- Serve burger with extra queso and guacamole.
