This fall bounty includes apples, walnuts (I like pecans), and maple syrup. All three come together in this super-fragrant dessert.

Ingredients
  • 4 apples, peeled, cored, and cut into halves
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 c. maple syrup
  • 1 c. walnuts (I use pecans)

Directions
  1. Combine the flour, cinnamon, and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Roll the apple halves in mixture until well coated.
  3. Place apples in a 9x13 pan.
  4. Pour syrup over the apples, and top with walnuts.
  5. Bake at 325 for 25 - 30 minutes.
  6. Top with ice cream and serve warm.
