Ingredients
  • 3/4 C.unsalted butter (about 1 1/2 sticks)
  • 3/4 C.powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp.vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp.baking powder
  • 1 C.old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 2/3 C.flour
  • 2 tsp.sugar

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Beat butter,sugar and baking pwoder in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in vanilla,then add oats and flour just until blended (dough will be slightly soft,but not sticky)
  4. Shape into a log about 2 1/2" thick and wrap w/Saran wrap.
  5. Chill until very firm,about 1-2 hrs.
  6. Slice log into 1/4" thick slices.
  7. Place on ungreased cookie sheet,then sprinkle w/sugar.
  8. Bake approx.15 minutes or until lightly browned.
