How to make it

  • sift dry ingred
  • beat egg yolks with about a cup of maas,you might need more to make a soft sticky dough
  • the secret is the wetter the dough the softer and lighter the scones
  • add cherries
  • mix lightly to form dough
  • roll out on a floured surface and cut with a scone cutter
  • brush with egg and milk
  • bake at 180 degrees,til light brown
  • serve with a good spread of butter
