Ingredients
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups okra
  • 1 can veg all
  • 1 can whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 can small limas
  • 2 cups canned chicken
  • 1 can corn beef
  • 8 oz smoke sausage sliced 1/2 inch slices ( optional )
  • 1 small can pork or 4 oz. cubed ham
  • 14 oz. chicken broth
  • 1cup v8 juice
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 cup small elbow noodles ( dried)
  • 1 tsp. franks hot sauce ( optional )

Directions
  1. In dutch oven , combine all vegtables (do not drain except for corn), meats and juice. Bring to boil . Add broth salt & pepper to taste .stir in elbow macaroni cook until macaroni is done . Stir frequently. serve.

This sounds like what my Father-in-law calls Mulligan's stew, everything but the kitchen sink is in it, I think he put the sink in there one time though. LOL

I love Brunswick stew!!


Looks great!! Just curious, I am not a big fan of Okra, mostly because of it's texture(can be a bit slimey).. Just wondering how it holds up in this? Does it help thiken the soup or is it still a bit slimey? I am very interested in trying, I think the kids would love it!!
