Honey And Onion Beets

Here's still another way for beet lovers like me to dress up canned beets. From another old cookbook from my collection.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup honey shopping list
- 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar shopping list
- 2 cans sliced beets shopping list
- 2 Tbsp butter shopping list
- 1 medium onion or 1/2 large sweet onion shopping list
How to make it
- Slice onion and separate into rings.
- Drain beets and reserve 2 Tbsp of the liquid.
- Blend beet liquid, honey and vinegar in a saucepan.
- Add beets and onion slices and heat through.
- Do not overcook--leave onion rings crispy.
