How to make it

  • Mix the gelatin with the sugar and add boiling water. Stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
  • Stir in whipping cream and chill until slightly thickened.
  • Add sour cream and vanilla.
  • Beat with an electric beater until the mixture is bubbly.
  • Pour into 1 qt. molds or smaller individual molds.
  • Chill until firm, at least 2 hours.
  • Remove from mold and serve with whole strawberries (or other fresh fruit)
