How to make it

  • In bowl cream butter and powdered sugar and brown sugar, beat until smooth. Add egg yolks and vanilla beat till light and fluffy. Add flour and mix throughly. Roll dough into ball and wrap tightly in plastic wrap. Refrigerate 1 hour.
  • Filling: scald cream in small saucepan over med heat. Add chocolate chips and stir till melted. Remove from heat.
  • With floured rolling pin, roll dough 1/4" thick. Cut into 2" circles and place on ungreased cookie sheet 1" apart. Drop 1 t of chocolate filling in center of each circle and top with another circle. Seal using fork tines. Bake 15 -16 minutes till light brown. Cool on rack and sprinkle with white sugar.
