- 3/4 CUP butter shopping list
- 3 CUPS sugar shopping list
- 8 eggs, BEATEN shopping list
- 2 lemons,***** RIND ONLY******** shopping list
- 1 TEASPOON lemon flavoring shopping list
- 9 - 9 1/2 CUPS OF flour shopping list
- 1/2 TEASPOOM salt shopping list
- 1 TEASPOON SODA shopping list
- 2 TEASPOONS cream of tartar shopping list
How to make it
- CREAM BUTTER AND SUGAR, ADD EGGS, LEMON RIND, AND LEMON FLAVORING.
- MIX 4 CUPS OF FLOUR , SALT, SODA, CREAM OF TARTAR. SIFT
- ADD OTHER FLOUR- 1 CUP AT A TIME AND MIX WELL.
- DOUGH WILL BE VERY STIFF.
- ROLL OUT BY HAND IN 1 INCH THICK ROLLS.
- CUT BY INCH AND SHAPE THE SIZE OF A FAT FINGER.
- COOL 3-4 HOURS OR OVERNIGHT IN REFRIGERATOR.
- HEAT FRYER TO 350 DEGREES
- FRY IN SMALL BATCHES TILL GOLDEN BROWN, TURNING THEM ONCE.
- DRAIN ON PAPER TOWELS, MAY SPRINKLE POWDERED SUGAR OVER THEM , OR LEAVE THEM PLAIN.
