THIS IS A TOPPER FOR A BAKED POTATO......IT SERVES 4 HOGOLETTOS OR 6 NORMAL PEOPLE, LOL, COURTESY OF THE PIRATE HOUSE IN SAVANNAH, GEORGIA

Ingredients
  • 12 OUNCES BACON , CHOPPED
  • 2 CUPS CHOPPED ONIONS
  • 2 - 16 OUNCE CANS WHOLE TOMATOES-- JUICE RESERVED
  • 1 - 16 OUNCE CAN WHOLE KERNEL- CORN
  • DRIED BASIL
  • SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE
  • 3 CUPS ( 3/4 POUND) GRATED EXTRA SHARP - CHEDDAR-CHEESE.
  • 4 TO 6 BAKING POTATOES, BAKED

Directions
  1. SAUTE` THE BACON AND ONIONS IN A HEAVY POT UNTIL THE BACON IS CRISP AND ONION IS TRANSLUCENT.
  2. DRAIN OFF THE FAT.
  3. DRAIN THE TOMATO JUICE INTO THE POT; SQUISHING THE TOMATOES THROUGH YOUR FINGERS INTO THE POT ALSO.
  4. ADD THE CORN,AND BASIL,SALT,PEPPER TO TASTE, SIMMER THE MIXTURE FOR 10 - 15 -MINUTES OR UNTIL DESIRED THICKNESS.
  5. ADD THE CHEESE AND STIR UNTIL MELTED.
  6. SPOON THE RUM TUM DITTY OVER HALVED POTATOES AND WAIT FOR THE COMPLIMENTS, ENJOY

Yummy, that will be great on a potato!


Well I'll give you a 5 for this one just because it sounds wonderful and I know from personal experience the Pirates House has very good food. BUT I must say, I wasn't expecting this to be a FOOD post LOL
Sounded like a good drink to me rotflmbo ;0)
