We had a black walnut tree that wasn't good for much but stains and nuts.

Ingredients
  • 1 c dark corn syrup
  • 1 tsp flour
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • Melted butter
  • Chopped black walnuts
  • Uncooked pie shell

Directions
  1. Combine corn syrup, flour, eggs, salt, vanilla, and sugar, and beat well.
  2. Pour into uncooked pie shell.
  3. Brush crust with egg white.
  4. Pour butter over pie, and then cover with walnuts.
  5. Bake 40 minutes in a low oven; 250 degrees.
