How to make it

  • Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored
  • slowly beat in sugar
  • disolve geletin in boiling water
  • when completely disolved, add 1/4 cup whiskey
  • add geletin mixture to egg/sugar mixture while stirring very quickly
  • add remaining whiskey , stirring quickly
  • whip cream until semi-soft, semi-firm peaks form
  • add 1 cup or more whipped cream to egg/whiskey mixture and fold until well blended
  • pour into pie shell and chill about 2 hours or til set
  • decorate with remaining whipped cream border and sprinkle chocolate shavings on top of pie
