Whiskey Pie

- 5 egg yolks shopping list
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 envelope unflavored geletin shopping list
- 1/4 cup boiling water shopping list
- 1/2 cup good Irish or bourbon whiskey shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream shopping list
- 1 deep dish or large pre-baked cooled pie shell or grahm cracker crust shopping list
- shaved chocolate shopping list
How to make it
- Beat egg yolks until thick and lemon colored
- slowly beat in sugar
- disolve geletin in boiling water
- when completely disolved, add 1/4 cup whiskey
- add geletin mixture to egg/sugar mixture while stirring very quickly
- add remaining whiskey , stirring quickly
- whip cream until semi-soft, semi-firm peaks form
- add 1 cup or more whipped cream to egg/whiskey mixture and fold until well blended
- pour into pie shell and chill about 2 hours or til set
- decorate with remaining whipped cream border and sprinkle chocolate shavings on top of pie
