How to make it

  • Mix butter with sugar.
  • Work in flour until well-mixed.
  • Press in a 9 in pie pan.
  • Pinch edges to make a fluted rim.
  • Prick all over with fork and score into 16 wedges with back of knife.
  • Bake in preheated oven at 325 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes until pale gold in color.
  • Cut into wedges when cool.
  • Can be dusted lightly with confectioners sugar when cooled.
