Ingredients
  • 1 lb fresh or frozen sea scallops
  • 3 tbsp. butter, melted
  • 11/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp paprika
  • 8 skewers
  • FOR SAUCE; 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon-style prepared mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh dill

Directions
  1. Thaw scallops, if frozen, pat dry with paper towels. Thread scallops onto four 8-10 inch skewers, leaving a 1/4 inch space between each piece.
  2. Preheat broiler, placed skewers on the greased unheated rack or a broiler pan. (can be cook on a grill)
  3. In a small bowl stir together melted butter, pepper and paprika. Brush half of the butter mixture over scallops.
  4. Broil about 8-10 mintues, turning and brushing with remaining butter mixture throughout broiling.
  5. FOR SAUCE: Whisk together sour cream, mustard, lemon juice and dill until well blended. Chill before serving.
  6. Serving scallops with dill sauce or saute on top
