Marinated Beef And Broccoli Supper

- 1/4 cup butter shopping list
- 3 cups broccoli florets shopping list
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced shopping list
- 1 T lemon juice shopping list
- 1 T worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 tsp purchased minced garlic shopping list
- 3/4 tsp finely chopped fresh gingerroot shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp pepper shopping list
- 1 lb beef sirloin steak, cut into 3 x 1/2-inch strips shopping list
- 2 medium tomatoes, cut into 1-inch pieces shopping list
How to make it
- In a 10-inch skillet melt butter until sizzling; add broccoli and onion. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until crisply tender (5 to 6 minutes).
- Meanwhile, in medium bowl stir together all remaining ingredients except sirloin strips, tomatoes and rice. Add meat; let stand 5 minutes.
- Add meat and marinade to broccoli mixture. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until meat is browned (6 to 8 minutes).
- Stir in tomatoes. Cover; let stand 1 minute or until heated through. Serve meat and broccoli mixture over rice.
- Microwave Directions:
- In 2-quart casserole melt butter on HIGH (40 to 50 seconds). Stir in broccoli and onion. Cover; microwave on HIGH until crisply tender (2 minutes). Meanwhile, in medium bowl stir together all remaining ingredients except sirloin strips, tomatoes and rice. Add meat; let stand 5 minutes. Add meat and marinade to broccoli mixture. Cover; microwave on HIGH , stirring after half the time, until meat is no longer pink (3 to 5 minutes). Stir in tomatoes. Cover; let stand 5 minutes. Serve meat and brocoli mixture over rice.
