Fried Plaice With Lemon Or Tarter Sauce Recipe


FRIED PLAICE WITH LEMON OR TARTER SAUCE Recipe
A good old fashioned way with delightful fish

Ingredients
  • 2 full Plaice = i.e. 4 fillets
  • 1 large Egg
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Olive oil

Directions
  1. Wash fish fillets and pat dry.
  2. Whisk the egg - depending on size you may need 2 eggs.
  3. Dip the fish into the Egg mix and then
  4. Put the breadcrumbs on a plate and coat the fish in the breadcrumbs
  5. Put Olive oil in the pan, and lightly fry each fillet turning when the first side is cooked
  6. Serve with slices of Lemon, or, if desired, Tarter Sauce.
  7. Serve with small New Potatoes and Peas or Runner Beans.
  8. A great favourite with families in the U.K.
