Strawberry Rhubarb Conserve

- 2 c sugar shopping list
- 1/2 c water shopping list
- 1 lb rhubarb, cut into 1 inch pieces (4c) shopping list
- 1 pt strawberries, cut in half (2c) shopping list
- 1/2 c coarsley chopped walnuts shopping list
- 1/4 c golden raisins shopping list
How to make it
- Heat sugar and water to boiling in 3 qt saucepan, stirring constantly. Stir in rhubarb. Boil gently about 15 minutes, stirring often until thickened. Stir in strawberries, walnuts and raisins. Heat to boiling; boil gently 5 minutes. Quickly skim off foam.
- Immediately pour into hot sterilized jars, leaving 1/4" headspace. Wipe rims of jars; seal. Cool on rack 1 hour. Store in refrigerator up to 2 months.
- Makes 4 half-pint jars
