How to make it

  • After preparing dough or thawing frozen dough, roll out walnut size balls of dough and shape into a bunch of grapes on baking sheet.
  • Balls should touch each other lightly. but not pushed together as they will puff up with rising and baking
  • This is done free form with more balls on top and less on the bottom to resemble a bunch of grapes.
  • Cut out stems and leaves by rolling some dough out and cuting out stem and leaf shapes with your knife.
  • Press onto top of bread balls with your fingers
  • Brush bread with an egg wash ( or egg white and water ), sprinkle with seeds if desired and let rise double in a warm place.
  • Bake in a 350 to 375 F oven as your basic white bread recipe instructs.
  • Cool and tear apart the "grapes " and enjoy your bread !
