Banana Split Cake Dessert Recipe
Another delish recipe made popular in the 1980's- this time to mimic a banana split in cake form

Ingredients
  • graham cracker crust to cover 9 x 15 pan with rim
  • 1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 2 cups powder sugar
  • 2 eggs, clean and uncracked
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 sliced bananas
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 large container whipped topping
  • garnish: nuts and cherries

Directions
  1. Prepare your crust and cool
  2. ( again I butter pan and dust heavily with graham cracker crumbs )
  3. Beat the margarine, sugar, egss, vanilla about 10 to 15 minutes or pudding like in texture.
  4. Spread over crust.
  5. Place remaining ingredients in layers over the pudding layer in order listed.
  6. Chill at leasr 8 hours or overnight
  7. Note: the recipe uses uncooked eggs. Make sure your eggs are clean and uncracked or omit them and use something like applesauce instead
