Almond et Citron Lb Cake

- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1 tsp. almond extract shopping list
- 2 lemons, zested and squeezed shopping list
- 6 eggs shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 2 sticks butter (+ 1/3 cup for glaze) shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream (or yogurt) shopping list
- 3 cups flour shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 1 cup slivered almonds (and a few whole if you have any) shopping list
- 2 cups powdered sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat hotbox to 350, spray and flour a Bundt pan
- grind almonds in a food processor
- cream beat butter and sucre
- add eggs and beat them up
- stir in extracts and 2 tbsp lemon zest
- Mix flour, bs, and salt
- add dry to wet by alternating with sour cream
- mix in almonds
- pour into pan and bake until toothpick test says it's ready (~60-75 min)
- Cool on rack
- Icing:
- In small saucepan combine powdered sugar, butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, and almond extract until good consistency. Drizzle over cooled cake. Decorate with pretty whole or halved or even crushed almonds!
