Double Deck Potatoes and Carrots

- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and sliced into 1/4" slices shopping list
- 1 cup boiling water shopping list
- 4 medium carrots, cut into sticks shopping list
- 2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 2 tablespoons milk shopping list
- 2/3 cup American cheese, grated (I just dice finely slices of American) shopping list
How to make it
- Place potatoes in water in saucepan with carrots on top. Sprinkle with salt. Cover and cook over medium heat about 5 minutes. Reduce heat 20-25 minutes. When veggies are tender, drain and add milk - sprinkle with grated cheese. Replace cover; turn off heat and let cheese melt.
