This is the traditional crepe recipe without any added sugars. It goes great with fruits and jams for breakfast, and sandwich meats and cheese for lunch.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 4 tbs melted butter (half a stick)
  • Fruits (optional)
  • Powdered Sugar (optional)
  • Ham and Cheese (optional)

Directions
  1. Put everything but butter into a blender jar and mix.
  2. Cover and blend at top speed until no clumps form.
  3. Add melted butter and blend.
  4. Scrape down sides and blend again.
  5. You can let it chill overnight or just use it now, but when you chill it for more than 2 hours, it tastes a little bit better.
  6. Brush a skillet with oil or butter.
  7. The size doesn't matter, but 6 inch in diameter makes about 25-30
  8. Set over med. high heat over a stove.
  9. Using a ladle, pour about half a cup of batter.
  10. Rotate the skillet until the batter is spread all around the skillet.
  11. the layer should be VERY thin.
  12. Pour out any excess batter back into the bowl.
  13. Wait a few seconds until the batter does't rroll around if you rotate the skillet again.
  14. Then, using a thin spatula, flip over the crep.
  15. The crepe should be slightly browned.
  16. Keep in mind, that the first few crepes will not be as brown because of the butter, but they will still taste great!
  17. Leave the crepe on for about 20 more seconds and then place it on a plate.
  18. Do this process over until the batter runs out.
  19. If you want, you can just make a few and save the batter.
  20. These crepes store for a while, but people eat them too fast anyway, so that won't be a problem.
  21. You can roll them up in fruits like strawberries, bananas, raspberries, grapes, apples, basically any type of fruit and sprinkle some powdered sugar on.
  22. Or, you can rap them up in ham and cheese.
  23. Or you can even just have them plain.
  24. Either way, they taste great.
  25. ENJOY!

I love crepes! Great recipe...thanks!

The directions just make this look complicated - which it isn't, but you were very thorough and that's a good thing! Thanks
