Anchovy Rondelles

- 12 slices of white bread shopping list
- olive oil shopping list
- 6 tbsp of unsalted butter, very soft shopping list
- 1 2 ounce can of anchovies, plus extra slivers for garnish shopping list
- dash of Burgess Genuine Original Anchovy Sauce (optional) shopping list
- 1 2ounce far of red lumpfish caviar shopping list
How to make it
- Using a cookie cutter with a serrated edge about 2 inches in diameter, cut out 12 circles of bread.
- Brush the circles with olive oil.
- Toast them in the broiler, oiled isde up, until they are golden.
- Preheat oven to 325 egrees.
- Thoroughly blend the butter and anchovy fillets.
- If you find the imported English anchovy sauce, a dash will improve and enrich the anchovy butter.
- Spread the anchovy butter on the untoasted side of half the bread circles. cover with the other 6 circles, toasted side up.
- Heat the rondelles gently in the oven and garnish with slivers of anchovy and dab of caviar just before serving.
