Oven Pulled Pork Recipe
If you don't have a smoker but love pulled pork this is an easy, do it in the house version. Goes perfect with coleslaw and hearty rolls.

Ingredients
  • 5 lb Boston Butt of pork
  • 1 T spicy mustard
  • Garlic powder, to taste
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • aluminum foil
  • can of your favorite cola
  • Your favorite BBQ sauce

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 500*
  2. Place the pork roast in a pan.
  3. Rub all visible sides with mustard.
  4. Sprinkle liberally with garlic, salt & pepper.
  5. Pour enough cola in the bottom of the pan to cover about 1/2" deep.
  6. Cover and seal pan tightly with aluminum foil.
  7. Place pan in oven, reduce heat to 225*.
  8. Bake for 6 hours.
  9. Remove from oven, put pork in a clean vessel and pull.
  10. Season with more garlic powder, salt, pepper and dress lightly with BBQ sauce.

I usually do use my electric smoker for pulled pork and this sounds like a great alternative.... could actually just keep it uncovered in the smoker as it has a bath of water just under the grilling racks.
