Spicy Sambal Fish Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 pieces of fish
  • 2 tbsp chili paste
  • 10 shallots
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • 1 stalk of lemon grass
  • 2 cm fresh tumeric
  • 2 tbsp thick tamarind sauce
  • 50ml water
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • salt and pepper to raste
  • Oil

Directions
  1. Ground shallots, garlic, lemon grass and tumeric.
  2. Deep-fry fish in hot oil for 3 mins. Set aside.
  3. Heat oil in saucepan.
  4. Fry ground ingredients and chili paste until fragrant.
  5. Add tamarind sauce, water, sugar, salt and pepper.
  6. Stir well to mix.
  7. Add in fish and simmer until fish is cook.
  8. Serve immediately.
