How to make it

  • HEAT OVEN TO 400 OR GAS MARK 6
  • GREASE A SHALLOW DISH
  • MELT BUTTER IN PAN.
  • ADD RICE, ONION AND GREEN PEPPER
  • COOK 5 MIN, STIRRING ALL TIME
  • ADD GARLIC, CURRY POWDER AND SALT.
  • STIR IN SOUP THEN ADD 1.1/K2 CANS OF WATER.
  • MIX WELL TOGETHER
  • BRING TO BOIL
  • REDUCE H EAT, COVER AND SIMMER FOR 10 MINUTES, STIRRING OFTEN.
  • TURN MIXTURE INTO PREPARED GREASED DISH, COVER WITH FOIL AND COOK IN OVEN FOR 20 MINUTES.
  • MAKE SEVERAL SLASHES ALONG ONE SIDE OF EACH FRANKFURTER SAUSAGE WITH A KNIFE
  • MIX THAWED PEAS INTO RICE MIXTURE THENN ARRANGE THE SAUSAGES ON TOP.
  • RETURN TO OVEN AND COOK UNCOVERED FOR 10 MINUTES UNTIL FRANKFURTERS AND RICE ARE HEATED THROUGH.

    Anyone try this dish for kids? believe it or not, my kids actually like curry (I hate a lot of Thai and Indian while pregnant with them). But my 3 yo has decided to be picky, not that he necessarily doesn't like the food, just chooses he doesn't want to eat that particular thing.
