Creamy Spaghetti Carbonara Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 lb. spaghetti, uncooked
  • 1/2 C grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbs. flour
  • 9 oz. turkey bacon, finely chopped
  • 4 1/2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 c dry white wine
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1/2 C chopped parsley
  • salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Prepare and boil Pasta
  2. toss parmesan cheese with flour and set aside
  3. whle pasta is cooking, cook the bacon and garlic in small saute' pan over medium-low heat until bacon is browned and garlic is aromatic ( about 4 mins)
  4. add the wine, increase heat, bring wine to boil
  5. cook until it has been reduced by half
  6. add the half and half and bring back to slight simmer
  7. then whisk in parmesan cheese mixture, stir constantly until mixture thickens.
  8. remove from heat.
  9. when pasta is done, drain and add immediately to bacon mixture.
  10. add chopped parsley and toss quickly
  11. season with salt and fresh ground pepper to taste.
